Life has its own hidden forces which you can only discover
by living.

In addition to providing psychotherapy to the community, Northeast Psychotherapy is proud to be a teaching clinic dedicated to training student therapists. To that end, we offer practicum/internship training for a limited number of students who demonstrate specific interests in the domains of existential-humanistic, psychodynamic, Jungian & psychology of spirituality. In contrast to the group-community cohort model of training, Northeast Psychotherapy follows a one-on-one, teacher/apprentice training approach for aspiring practitioner-scholars with the highest levels of self-initiative, emotional/spiritual maturity, intellectual curiosity, and teachability. Applicants should have a high, (think: more-than-casual) level of interest in developing skills in existential, psychoanalytic, and/or mindfulness/Buddhist theory and technique. Formal academic backgrounds in these domains is not essential, but experience of personal study is desirable. Finally, previous and/or current experience in personal therapy for supervisees is strongly recommended.
Pre-licensure supervision in depth psychotherapy may also available on a privately contracted basis. For more information on our unique clinical approach, click here.
If you are interested in a practicum/internship opportunity with us, fill out the form below. Highlight your particular theoretical interests in psychology, as well as an autobiographical narrative about your interest in working as a psychotherapist more generally. In addition, send a resume/CV attached to codyoaks@ne-therapy.com
Please Note: Our practicum experiences must be 2 class semesters or more; we do not currently offer 1 semester practicums.
